The interagency commission investigating the causes of the accident at the Bishkek Thermal Power Plant completed its work last Friday. Deputy Minister of Energy Taalaibek Baigaziev confirmed this information to journalists.
According to him, the results of the investigation have already been presented at a cabinet meeting, and certain decisions have been made. However, the specifics of these decisions were not disclosed by the official.
"As far as I know, these decisions have not been made public yet," said Taalaibek Baigaziev.
On the night of February 2nd, an accident occurred at the capital's thermal power plant. The exact cause of the explosion is still unknown. Five people were injured, with three of them hospitalized and two receiving outpatient treatment. Schools and kindergartens in Bishkek switched to online learning as a result of the accident. The supply of heat and hot water in the city was fully restored on February 7th. On February 9th, the republican headquarters announced the completion of the cleanup work at the site.
