Kyrgyzstan has completed the modernization of border crossings as part of its accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as reported by the Eurasian Economic Commission website.
During a working visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, Eldar Alisherov, the Minister for Customs Cooperation of the EEC, along with a group of experts, visited the modernized Kyzyl-Bel automobile border crossing point (BCP) on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The experts confirmed the completion of the infrastructure and technical equipment of the Kyzyl-Bel BCP in accordance with the EAEU requirements. Equipping the border crossing point with modern technology and a complex of technical means will help develop transit potential and ensure a proper level of customs control.
"Eldar Alisherov noted, 'The Kyrgyz Republic has fully completed the measures for the infrastructure and technical equipment of border crossings as provided for in the Protocol on the terms and transitional provisions related to the country's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty.'"
