The Kyrgyz Ministry of Labor, Social Development, and Migration in Russia has issued a warning about active recruitment of citizens, including minors, for terrorist activities in the Russian Federation through social networks and popular messengers like Telegram.
The Ministry's press service highlighted that recruiters primarily operate through dating sites, targeting vulnerable individuals based on various characteristics like religion, culture, nationality, and vulnerability due to depression or other difficulties.
The Ministry urged Kyrgyz citizens residing or temporarily staying in Russia to resist provocations and keep a close eye on their children. It emphasized that participation in terrorist activities is punishable under Russian law, with penalties extending up to life imprisonment.
