On the Kyrgyzstani-Tajikistani border, an attempt to illegally transport a large number of cattle from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan has been intercepted. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported the incident.
According to the report, in the area of Sarai of the Leilek district in the Batken region, border guards, together with GKNB officers, detained a Kyrgyzstani citizen born in 1971 who was trying to transport 14 heads of cattle into Tajikistan.
The individual was attempting to sell the cows in the neighboring country, with the total value of the seized cattle estimated to be around 2.6 million soms. Following the necessary paperwork, the smuggler and the animals have been handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
