An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 has been registered in China, according to the Seismology Institute.
The underground shocks were recorded today, on March 6, at 6:10 local time.
The epicenter of the earthquake is located 25 kilometers southeast of the village of Bedel in the Issyk-Kul region, 72 kilometers southeast of the Kumtor mine, and 125 kilometers southeast of the city of Karakol.
The tremors were also felt in Kyrgyzstan. In the village of Bedel, the intensity of the earthquake reached 4 on the Richter scale, while at the Kumtor mine it was measured at 3.
