During a session at the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Janar Akayev raised concerns about the heightened raids on migrants in Moscow following the recent terrorist attack at the "Crocus City Hall". Kyrgyz nationals are being scrutinized and deported back to their home country.
"Hundreds of migrants have been approaching us, expressing that their phones are being checked. If authorities find videos of our compatriots, they immediately assume that Kyrgyz citizens are associated with radical organizations. Can negotiations be held on this matter?" the deputy inquired.
Prime Minister Akylbek Zaparov emphasized that Kyrgyz citizens abroad must abide by the laws and traditions of the host country. "This is something that needs to be learned. We are working on it. Around 8,000 citizens went to the UK for agricultural work, the Ministry of Labor prepared them and helped them understand the laws of that country," he stated.
On March 22, a terrorist attack took place at the "Crocus City Hall" near Moscow. Thousands of people had gathered for a concert by a musical group. Preliminary information suggests that four unidentified individuals in camouflage, without masks, entered the building and began shooting people at close range. A total of nine suspects have been arrested.
