in National Security / Kyrgyzstan - by

The press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported that more than 130 foreigners from Pakistan and Bangladesh have been identified during operational and investigative activities at various temporary residences in Bishkek. Among them, 64 individuals have expired visas and lack registration.

According to the GKNB, these foreigners arrived in the country legally for employment in the food service, delivery, construction, and textile industries. However, many of them were found to be unqualified for the jobs and faced low wages.

The GKNB, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has drawn up administrative protocols against the violators, imposing fines accordingly. As per the legislation, these foreigners are subject to deportation.
