Kyrgyzstan is prioritizing efforts to address cyber threats, as highlighted by Abdykadyr Razaev, the deputy chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). During a recent meeting of the parliamentary committee on transport, communications, architecture, and construction, Razaev emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in the face of evolving challenges. He stated, "Cybersecurity is a new and relevant field. We provide recommendations for government agencies to counter threats in information systems."
Razaev further underscored that each department's responsibility is being enhanced, with a focus on conducting regular trainings and providing specialized education. Additionally, the GKNB deputy head mentioned that the committee has reviewed the initial draft of the cybersecurity law, signaling a proactive approach to strengthening the country's cybersecurity framework.
