During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Prosecutor General Kurmankul Zulushev revealed that 94 Kyrgyz citizens are reluctant to be transferred from Russian prisons back to their homeland.
Zulushev mentioned receiving numerous requests from deputies regarding the transfer of Kyrgyz inmates from Russia to Kyrgyzstan, as well as cases of innocent couriers being imprisoned for drug transportation. However, upon investigation, the Prosecutor General stated that these individuals do carry some guilt.
"We have met with the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice on extradition matters of our citizens. Any statement is considered. Every Kyrgyz citizen in Russia knows that by submitting an extradition request, we will bring them back," Zulushev affirmed.
