In the Chui region, a suspect has been arrested for distributing materials of the banned religious extremist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir". The regional police department's press service reported the incident.
According to the information, a Facebook user was spreading materials and calls for the caliphate of the internationally banned religious extremist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir" in Kyrgyzstan.
The incident was registered at the police department of the Sokuluk district. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 332 "Production, distribution of extremist materials" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. The suspect has been identified as B.K., born in 1972, who has previously been convicted multiple times for similar crimes. He has been detained and placed in a pre-trial detention center.
