The General Prosecutor's Office of Germany has brought charges against detained Islamists - seven individuals from Central Asia, including two citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic. It is specified that the charges are related to the creation of a terrorist group by individuals from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Charges against five individuals from Tajikistan and two citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan were brought on March 28 in the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf.

According to the supervisory authority, citizens from the CIS countries, who share radical Islamist views, entered Germany via Ukraine in 2022. It is noted that after entering the country, they, along with the accused - who is separately held accountable in the Netherlands, formed a terrorist group with the aim of carrying out attacks in Germany or other Western European countries.

Information from the General Prosecutor's Office of Germany reveals that the accused were in contact with the terrorist group "Wilayat Khorasan." In addition to forming the group and preparing plans for terrorist acts, the six accused were raising funds for ISIS. Their arrests took place on July 6, 2023.

In late March, the Minister of Interior of France, Gérald Darmanin, stated that the department had prevented 74 attempts to commit terrorist acts since 2015.
