Court Returns "Crystal" Plant to State Ownership Following Criminal Investigation

in National Security / Kyrgyzstan - by

The Tash-Kumyr District Court has ruled to return the "Crystal" plant to state ownership, as reported by the State Committee for National Security press center. The decision comes in the context of a criminal case regarding the illegal appropriation of assets and property of the enterprise by affiliated individuals of the late criminal authority Kamchybek Asanbek.

According to the investigation, a mining farm was established on the plant's premises, operated by the LLC "Computer Power Center." From May 2019 to October 2020, the farm was equipped and technically maintained without the necessary permits. The executive director was a native of Tash-Kumyr, and the actual manager of financial resources was the son of the deceased criminal authority Kamchybek Asanbek. The main goal of launching the mining farm was to finance criminal structures associated with the criminal authority.

The State Committee for National Security added that the activities of the large mining farm utilized the resources of the "Ayu-Holding" corporation, specifically the energy company "NurAlEnergo," which planned to supply electricity to the "Crystal" plant, aiding in the financing of the organized criminal group led by Kamchi Kolbaev.

The press center of the state committee emphasized that the transfer of the property complex of the OJSC "Crystal" to the LLC "Computer Power Center" was done illegally, violating bankruptcy legislation.
