Russian Citizens in Kyrgyzstan Turn Out to Vote in Presidential Elections

Today marks the final day of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation. A large queue of voters has formed outside the Russian Embassy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, as citizens come to fulfill their civic duty. There are four polling stations open in Kyrgyzstan.

As of 6 hours into the voting process on March 17, over 4,000 people have cast their votes for the Russian presidential elections. The voter turnout by 2:00 PM local time is reported as follows: 2,250 people in Bishkek, 1,210 in Kant, 500 in Osh, and 377 in Karakol.

Voting for the Russian presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan is taking place today from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM local time. Russian citizens in the country can vote at the Russian Embassy in Bishkek, the Consulate General in Osh, Kant (Chui region, where the Russian military airbase is located), and Karakol (Issyk-Kul region).

The exact number of Russian citizens in Kyrgyzstan is unknown as those arriving in the country are not required to register with the consulate.
