Foreign Leaders to Attend Victory Day Parade in Moscow on May 9th

Leaders of foreign countries are planning to visit Russia to participate in the celebration of Victory Day on May 9th.

In Moscow, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov are expected to arrive. This information was confirmed by their press services.

According to sources in the executive office of the head of state, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will also visit Moscow, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov informed journalists that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov, as well as President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov will be in Moscow for the celebrations, according to TASS.

It is currently unknown whether the President of Uzbekistan will participate in the parade.

Additionally, President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo, and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel will also travel to Moscow to participate in the Victory Day parade.

More than 9000 individuals and 70 pieces of equipment will take part in the Victory Day parade on Red Square.

Last year, nearly all leaders of the CIS countries were present at the Victory Day parade in Moscow, including President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
