Appeals against the verdict of Kuandyk Bishimbayev and Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov have been submitted to the appellate instance for consideration. The case was transferred to the judge on June 11, 2024, according to the data in the Judicial Office. The date of acceptance for proceedings and the first hearing is yet to be determined.
On May 27, it was revealed that the appeals against the verdict of the first instance court regarding Kuandyk Bishimbayev and Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov were received by the city court in the capital. Later, Bishimbayev's lawyer disclosed the essence of the appeals.
Kuandyk Bishimbayev was sentenced to 24 years in prison on May 13, 2024, while Bakhytzhan Bayzhanov received a four-year prison term.
