In 2023, Uzbekistan received humanitarian aid amounting to $197.84 million, as stated in the report of the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the implementation of state target funds in 2023.
A total of 30 countries provided support, with 83.63% of the aid coming from five countries:
- Germany - $71.38 million (36% of total aid)
- China - $27.47 million (13.9%)
- USA - $23.23 million (11.8%)
- Belgium - $22.62 million (11.4%)
- Switzerland - $20.76 million (10.5%)
The breakdown of humanitarian aid by sectors is as follows:
- Healthcare - $169.23 million (85.5% of total aid)
- Social sphere - $1.24 million
- Ecology and environmental protection - $943.2 thousand
- Education - $247.2 thousand
The majority of this assistance was received by various entities, including the Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being and Public Health Committee (58.2%), the unitary enterprise "Taminot va logistika xizmati" ("Service of Supply and Logistics") - 17.2%, the Hematology Research Institute - 10.5%, and the charitable foundation "Sog'lom avlod uchun" ("For a Healthy Generation") - 11.2%.
In 2022, Uzbekistan received humanitarian aid totaling $193.6 million from 27 countries. The largest portions came from the USA - $108.03 million (55.8%), Belgium - $23.14 million (12%), Germany - $19.24 million (9.9%), and the Netherlands - $16.5 million (8.5%). The majority of this aid also went to healthcare - $190.28 million (98.3%).
In 2021, the volume of aid from 30 countries amounted to $147.86 million.
