In 2024, the international charity running series Samarkand Marathon will celebrate its fifth anniversary. The next event in the series will be the mountain festival Sky Camp Bo'stonliq 2024, as announced by the press service of the Uzbekistan Cultural and Art Development Fund.

Participants and guests of the mountain sports festival can look forward to the following activities:

  • Sky Camp BIKE - a mountain road cycling race covering a distance of 13.5 km with an elevation gain of 691 m
  • Sky Camp TRAIL - a trail run covering distances of 10 km and 20 km with elevation gains of 619 m and 1238 m respectively
  • Sky Camp PEAK - skyrunning from the lower to the upper station of the Amirsoy resort covering a distance of 4.2 km with an elevation gain of 724 m
  • Sky Camp ZEN - a combination of running, yoga, and meditation

The Sky Camp TRAIL trail is certified by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA). It is the first trail in Uzbekistan where participants will receive ITRA points.

"This year, we are relaunching the mountain sports festival Sky Camp Bo'stonliq. The team has prepared various activities within the festival - from trail running to yoga and meditation... For the first time in Uzbekistan, we have certified a trail for trail running, allowing runners to earn points in their personal records," said Mirhan Sagitov, the curator of the Samarkand Marathon charity running series.

During Sky Camp, there will be plogging organized over two days, a focus that was also highlighted at the recent ZAAMIN ULTRA 2024 event.

Participants can also enjoy entertainment activities arranged by Samarkand Marathon partners, music, and a concert. This year, the headline performer at the concert on the evening of June 29 will be the band Tesla Boy.
