Olimjon Abdulloev, a Tajik teacher who was wounded in the leg during a border clash between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, is in good health, as reported by Deputy Chairman of the Jabbor Rasulov district Zumrat Mutallibobzoda.

On May 7th, another shooting incident occurred on the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, with the official authorities of the two countries providing different explanations for the event.

According to the Tajik side, at 11:00 local time, a Tajik citizen, 34-year-old Olimjon Abdulloev, a history teacher at School No. 4 in the Jabbor Rasulov district of the Sughd region, intended to inquire about the fate of his minor son Ramzan Abdulloev, who was detained at the border, from the Kyrgyz military stationed in the village of Sulyukta.

The Tajik Border Troops Press Center, citing the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, stated that "Abdulloev, due to his social status as an educator, did not engage in any actions contrary to the principles of good neighborliness. However, he was fired upon, resulting in his injury."

On the Kyrgyz side, the incident took place around 12:20 near the village of Ak-Boso in the Leilek district of the Batken region, when Kyrgyz border guards noticed Tajik citizens - shepherds grazing livestock on Kyrgyz territory about 250-300 meters from the state border.

"The Tajik citizens ignored the demands of the border guards to leave Kyrgyz territory and, moreover, began throwing stones at the servicemen," reported the Information and Communication Department of the Kyrgyz State Border Service.

It is noted that "one of the shepherds fired 2-3 shots towards the Kyrgyz border post." In order to prevent escalation, Kyrgyz border guards fired warning shots into the air, after which the shepherds fled to Tajikistan. According to unconfirmed information, one Tajik citizen was wounded in the leg. However, the circumstances of how, when, and where the injury occurred remain unknown as Tajik law enforcement officials only provided a photograph. There were no injuries reported among Kyrgyz border guards.

Currently, the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the border is stable.
