The Committee for Emergency Situations of the Republic has provided an update on the aftermath of the precipitation on March 21. Fortunately, there have been no casualties due to landslides and mudflows. The affected regions are currently dealing with the following situations:

During the night from March 21 to 22, continuous heavy rains caused a mudflow to inundate 56 meters of the inter-settlement road in the village of Savda in the Bogiston Shahrinav district. Efforts are underway to address the consequences of this natural disaster. Additionally, 150 meters of debris flow in the village of Chambul in the Bogiston district were cleared using an excavator.

Yesterday, mudslides from the hills formed a mud mass that blocked the inter-settlement road in the village of Khaftappa in the Oriyon district of Gissar city. Cleanup operations commenced in the morning of March 22 with the assistance of machinery and local residents.

In order to carry out preventative work and reinforce dams, two units of heavy engineering equipment and one unit from the Committee for Emergency Situations were mobilized. Additionally, on March 21 at 16:20, a landslide occurred on Kanori Mugul Street in Rogun city, blocking an intra-city road. Search and rescue teams, along with the city road service, used machinery to clear the landslide aftermath.

In Chorbog-2 village of the Aini Khuroson district, 25 residential yards were flooded due to rainwater on Thursday. Twenty households (80 individuals) were temporarily evacuated to safe locations. Similarly, in the village of Bakhor in the name of Kadriddin Giasov district, the streets and 5 residential plots were submerged.

In the Kubadiyan district, in the village of Ravshanobad, mudflows descended from the hills, but no damage was reported. In the Nosiri Khusrav region, a 3-4 kilometer stretch of the Tajikistan-Uzbekistan highway was affected by a mudflow. Two units of engineering equipment, a grader, and a road roller, were mobilized for the cleanup efforts.

In Gulafshan-3 village of the Chorgul Yavan district, mudflows passed through the village without causing harm to the population. Additionally, the Yoksu River experienced a rise in water level on March 21, resulting in the sand and gravel-filled automobile bridge connecting the villages of Dashti Rubot and Suoni in the Shugnov Khovaling district. Engineering equipment was mobilized to address the situation, and the work has been completed.

A rockfall was recorded on the road between Nurek and Vahdat cities. The road was cleared with the help of engineering equipment, restoring traffic flow. Moreover, due to landslides, the Shuraksoy Temurmalik canal changed its course, flooding the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs fire department building in the Temurmalik district.

In the rural areas of Korez, Pushing, Safobakhsh, and the district center of Dangarinsky district, drainage channels, canals, and sewage systems were flooded, leading to the inundation of residential plots, roads, and streets.

According to the country's Hydrometeorology Agency, avalanche, landslides, and rockfalls are expected to continue in several western districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and republican subordinate districts until March 27.

In light of the current weather conditions, the Committee for Emergency Situations advises the public to avoid water bodies, refrain from fishing or hunting, and to not graze livestock in pastures. Furthermore, drivers are urged to gather information on road conditions and weather before traveling through mountain passes to prevent accidents.
