The family members of Faridun Shamsiddin, a suspect in the "Crocus City Hall" attack in Moscow, have been taken away by individuals in official attire, likely Tajikistan authorities. His uncle's wife mentioned that they were taken on March 23, but their whereabouts remain unknown. Shamsiddin was arrested on March 23 and later placed in custody for two months.
Despite his limited education and previous arrest, Shamsiddin was described as a calm person by his uncle's wife. Another relative mentioned that Shamsiddin had been sending money to his family from Russia. Shamsiddin claimed he returned to Russia from Turkey in March to extend his stay and was promised 500,000 rubles for the attack.
Authorities in Tajikistan have not commented on the reported torture of the suspects. Meanwhile, Shamsiddin's sister was deported from Russia with her children for being registered at his house. The attack on "Crocus City Hall" on March 22 resulted in numerous casualties, with 11 suspects arrested, including Shamsiddin. Additional individuals were detained for providing support to the suspects.
