The recent terrorist attack at "Crocus City Hall" in Russia has led to a decrease in the flow of Tajikistan citizens traveling there. According to reports from "Asia Plus," airlines are experiencing a decline in ticket sales to Russia, with some tickets being refunded.
One airline, "Somon Air," mentioned a 20% decrease in ticket sales to Russia and an increase in ticket refunds. Flights have also been reduced due to the low number of passengers, as stated by a ticket office employee in Dushanbe.
Tickets were mainly returned in the days following the attack on March 24-26, with some passengers rescheduling for later dates. Despite initial concerns, ticket purchases have somewhat stabilized, although there is still a 30% decrease in sales.
Many passengers are hesitant to fly to Moscow due to fears fueled by online videos showing deportations of migrants. However, it was noted that those with valid documents have nothing to fear.
As a result of these events, airports are seeing a significant decrease in foot traffic. The situation is being closely monitored by airlines and authorities in hopes of returning to normalcy in the near future.
