Several suspects in the terrorist attack at "Crocus City Hall" were found with visible signs of torture when brought to court. The use of torture was even captured on video by law enforcement during the arrest.

According to experts, victims of torture often provide false information to temporarily escape violence. The validity of confessions obtained through such means is questioned.

Tajikistan's Human Rights Ombudsman Umed Bobozoda was asked if he plans to address the torture allegations of Tajik citizens in Russian authorities. Bobozoda stated that the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the Republic's Prosecutor General and emphasized his cooperation with Russian counterparts on human rights issues.

Russian Human Rights Ombudsman, Tatiana Moskalkova, has condemned the use of torture on suspects, deeming such actions as a violation of human rights and legal principles. Moskalkova later praised the country for avoiding vigilantism, citing it as a sign of a civilized and mature state.

Four suspects in the terrorist attack displayed clear signs of abuse in court, with one missing an ear, another with a plastic bag around the neck, and a third arriving in a wheelchair. Their faces showed multiple bruises and injuries, as reported by various media outlets.
