in National Security / Tajikistan - by

The Moscow City Court has ruled the pre-trial detention of Dilovar Islomov, a suspect in the "Crocus City Hall" terrorist attack case, as lawful. The court upheld the Basmanny District Court's decision to keep Islomov in custody, dismissing the appeal.

Islomov, who maintains his innocence, chose not to participate in the appeal hearing. His lawyer affirmed his client's denial of the charges. The suspect's father and brother have also denied any involvement in the attack.

The terrorist incident at "Crocus" took place on the evening of March 22, during which armed individuals entered the building, shot at visitors, set the premises on fire, and then fled. Over ten individuals, including four identified as the main perpetrators, have been arrested in connection with the case.

According to the investigation, Faridun purportedly recruited the Islomov brothers into an organized group. The suspects, together with their father, are accused of assisting the attackers by providing a car, accommodation, and aiding in the transportation of money.

Rosfinmonitoring has designated seven suspects, among them the Islomovs, as terrorists and extremists. The list includes Yakubjon Yusufzoda, Alisher Kasimov, Nazrimad Lutfulloi, and Muhammad Sharipzoda.

Yakubjon Yusufzoda allegedly transferred money to a co-conspirator using his bank card before the attack. The financial involvement of Lutfulloi and Sharipzoda in supporting the terrorists is currently under investigation. Kasimov rented an apartment to one of the attackers, Shamsiddin Faridun, before the incident occurred.
