The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the commencement of bilateral military exercises between the Russian Armed Forces and local Tajik military personnel in Tajikistan.
The Russian contingent consists mainly of units from the 201st Russian military base of the Central Military District. The exercises will involve mountain, motorized infantry, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, as well as specialists in NBC protection, drones, and mobile EW groups. The training will also include the crews of the aviation group operating Mi-24 attack helicopters and Mi-8MTV5-1 transport-combat helicopters.
