643 citizens of Tajikistan deported from Russia due to lack of proper conditions

From April 26 to April 30, out of 3101 citizens of Tajikistan who arrived at Vnukovo Airport, 643 individuals were deported after being held without proper conditions by the Russian authorities, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.

According to the source, a decision has been made to deport another 117 citizens of Tajikistan. Similar challenging situations are also observed at Zhukovsky and Domodedovo airports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan once again strongly recommends that the country's citizens refrain from traveling to the territory of Russia.

Yesterday, on April 30, a phone call took place between the two foreign ministers of Tajikistan and Russia, during which Sirodjidin Mukhriddin discussed the difficult situation faced by Tajik citizens on the territory of Russia due to the harsh measures taken by the Russian authorities.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan emphasized that such negative treatment towards Tajik citizens and the widespread violation of their rights and freedoms do not correspond to the principles of bilateral relations. He drew Lavrov's attention to the need for the Russian side to adhere to the provisions of basic bilateral and multilateral legal acts, including the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance between Tajikistan and Russia dated May 25, 1993, and the Treaty on Allied Interaction between Tajikistan and Russia oriented towards the XXI century, dated April 16, 1999.

In the context of the statement made by the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov about the non-direction of measures taken against a specific nation or religion, Sirodjidin Mukhriddin emphasized that this thesis is incompatible with the real situation, and negative actions are applied exclusively against citizens of Tajikistan.

However, as highlighted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the interlocutors were unanimous in the opinion on the necessity of maintaining the commitment of the parties to the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.
