Former CEO of Atyrau Oil Refinery, Murat Dosmuratov, is currently under house arrest as reported by Zakon.kz. The information was shared with the publication "Ak Zhaiyk" by an informed source, although no further details were provided.
Dosmuratov held the position of CEO and Chairman of the Board of LLP "Atyrau Oil Refinery" since July 2022. On January 10, 2024, the press service of NC KazMunayGaz announced that Dosmuratov's authorities as the head of the enterprise were terminated early according to a submitted statement. Galymzhan Zhusanbayev is now leading the AOR.
On February 28, 2024, it was revealed that the management of AOR is suspected of abusing their powers. According to the Department of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Atyrau region, in coordination with the regional prosecutor's office, it was found that due to the abuse of powers by the AOR management, significant damage was caused to the state.
