Procurator's Office Reveals Illegal Privatization of State Housing in Altai District

Employees of the Altai district prosecutor's office conducted an inspection at the Department of Housing and Communal Services, Passenger Transport, Roads, and Housing Inspection of the Altai district to ensure compliance with housing legislation.

The inspection revealed instances of illegal privatization of apartments from the state housing stock by individuals who already owned property or did not meet the legal requirements for receiving housing from the state fund. Five residents of Altai city were found to have illegally privatized apartments valued at over 19 million tenge. According to the prosecutor's oversight report, all properties have been returned to the state ownership, and the head of the housing department has been held accountable for discrediting grounds.

The East Kazakhstan Region Prosecutor's Office noted that the apartments returned to state ownership will be allocated to those in need in accordance with the law.
