Directors of Nursery School Sentenced for Embezzling 63 Million Tenge in Pavlodar

The director and accountant of a nursery school in Pavlodar have been sentenced for embezzling 63 million Tenge. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the defendants illegally allocated bonuses beyond the established units for seven years, as well as made mandatory pension contributions and contributions to compulsory social medical insurance.

The court found them guilty of the crime and sentenced them to seven years in prison. The convicted director, who previously held the position, is currently in the quarantine unit of Institution No. 23 in the Abay region. She expresses remorse for her actions and has already partially repaid the debt to the state.

It is mentioned that the 62-year-old woman wishes to find employment to support her family financially and settle the lawsuits. The accountant, on the other hand, was granted a five-year deferment of imprisonment due to having a five-year-old daughter, as informed by the institution's deputy chief Anar Sabiyeva.

Previously, it was reported that embezzlement of public funds and fraud were uncovered by the prosecutor's office in children's camps in the West Kazakhstan region.
