The news of the arrest was first published on the Telegram channel egovpress, stating that the officers, Kozhabekov Bauyrzhan and Shonbasov Galymzhan, were apprehended for accepting a bribe to avoid prosecuting an individual in a drug-related case. It was revealed that they held senior positions in the fight against drug trafficking.
