in Corruption / Kazakhstan - by

Prosecutors of Baizak District have uncovered instances of illegal land allocation totaling 465 hectares, as well as identified 4292 hectares of unused land plots. This information was disclosed by the Prosecutor's Office of Zhambyl Region on April 26, 2024.

It was noted that 4.7 thousand hectares of land have been returned to the state fund, with a cadastral value exceeding 55 million tenge. According to a report from the prosecutor's office, a full return of the unused land plots has been ensured through a pre-trial act directed to the local executive body. Legal action has been taken to invalidate the leases of the remaining illegally allocated lands.

A ruling by the Specialized Interdistrict Economic Court of Zhambyl Region on February 13, 2024, resulted in the satisfaction of the claim, leading to the return of 465 hectares of land to the state. These land plots will subsequently be reintegrated into economic circulation by providing them to peasant farms in accordance with the law.

On April 12, 2024, it was reported that land worth 170 million tenge was returned to the state in the Zhetysu Region. Further details can be found through the provided link.
