Over 640 million tenge have been recovered from Ekibastuz GRES-2. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.
As noted in the publication by the agency for April 29, 2024, it was established that Ekibastuz GRES-2 failed to fulfill its obligations to pay more than 640 million tenge to the budget.
"Following the supervisory act against the taxpayer, appropriate collection measures were taken, as a result of which GRES-2 paid the aforementioned amount of KPUs to the budget," the press service of the Pavlodar region prosecutor's office stated.
The Pavlodar region prosecutor's office also added that work in this direction is currently ongoing.
In February 2024, the regional prosecutor's office inspected AO "Ekibastuz GRES-2". It was revealed that there were instances of misappropriation of funds intended for the expansion and reconstruction of the thermal power station with the installation of the 3rd energy unit.
