The head of the Department of the Committee for Labor and Social Protection of the Population in the Zhetysu region is under pre-trial investigation. Details were disclosed by the press service of Anticor.
According to a message dated May 10, 2024, the official is suspected of receiving bribes through intermediaries on a systematic basis ranging from 20 to 25 thousand tenge from disabled individuals of the 2nd and 3rd categories for the extension and appointment of disability status.
A court has imposed a measure of restraint in the form of "house arrest" with the use of an "electronic bracelet" on the suspect due to a full confession of guilt.
