The head of the Employment and Social Programs Department in Pavlodar has been disciplined for corruption offenses committed by subordinates. According to the Anti-Corruption Service of Pavlodar Region, on March 15th, the official was subjected to disciplinary action in the form of a reprimand for improper performance of duties. The deputy head of the department also received a strict reprimand.

It is worth noting that the Anti-Corruption Service concluded a criminal case against employees of the department and other individuals for embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the payment of personal assistants to accompany first group disability individuals. The funds were transferred to the accounts of individuals who did not provide the services. The case has now been transferred to court.

Under Article 10 of the Law on Civil Service, government officials are required to prevent corruption offenses by subordinate civil servants. In a similar case, in the spring of 2023, an akim in the North Kazakhstan Region also received a strict reprimand for corruption involving a subordinate.
