A school accountant in Aktobe managed to embezzle 413 million tenge. As reported by "Diapazon" on March 17, during court proceedings, the reasons leading to the misappropriation of budget funds on a large scale were revealed.

It was found that from 2019 to 2023, School No. 55 had not undergone any state audit to check for misuse of budget funds. Additionally, for nearly eight years, no planned inspections were carried out at this educational institution. The court issued a private ruling to the Ministry of Finance demanding measures to prevent such situations from reoccurring.

On February 22, it was reported that a former accountant of a school in Aktobe was sentenced to seven years for embezzling over 400 million tenge. The defendant admitted his guilt in full during the court session and explained that since 2015, he developed a gambling addiction, leading him to increase teachers' salaries fund.
