in News / Kazakhstan - by

On the night of March 18, an explosion occurred on a main gas pipeline near the village of Beyneu in the Mangystau region. According to preliminary information from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Mangystau region, a fire broke out in the piston dispatcher unit of the main gas pipeline.

The fire ignited an excavator nearby. The gas leak was contained before the arrival of the firefighting service. The area of the fire was 50 square meters. Essential services continue to operate as usual, and fortunately, there have been no casualties or injuries reported.

This incident comes shortly after a similar industrial accident on March 16 in Aktau, where a massive tower containing chemical waste caught fire and collapsed. The prompt response and effective containment of the gas leak in Beyneu highlight the importance of emergency preparedness and swift action in preventing disasters and ensuring the safety of communities in the region.
