Adahan Madumarov's Appeal Deadline Reinstated by Pervomaisky District Court

Today, on May 22, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek granted the motion of the former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Adahan Madumarov, to reinstate the deadline for filing an appeal.

As reported by the lawyer on the Telegram channel, a new appeal will now be filed against the verdict of the Pervomaisky District Court in the Bishkek City Court. This information was confirmed by the district court.

On May 8, the Pervomaisky District Court rejected Adahan Madumarov's appeal on the grounds that the deadline for filing had expired. His lawyers disagreed with this decision and filed a motion to reinstate the procedural deadline.

Today, the Pervomaisky District Court granted the motion of the political advocates, reinstating the missed procedural deadline. This means that an appeal can now be filed again against the verdict of the district court dated March 26, 2024.

On March 26, the Pervomaisky District Court found Adahan Madumarov guilty in a case of state treason and fraud. However, due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, he was released. Nevertheless, because the preventive measure for the politician was not changed, he was only released from detention on April 26.

It was announced on April 26 that the Central Election Commission prematurely terminated the powers of the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Adahan Madumarov. The basis for this decision was the verdict of the Pervomaisky District Court.

Adahan Madumarov was a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the seventh convocation from the faction "Butun Kyrgyzstan".
