Emergency Situation Declared in Wil District of Aktobe Region Due to Spring Floods

On March 29, 2024, an emergency situation was declared in the Wil district of the Aktobe region due to spring floods. One village has been completely flooded, and five other villages are under threat of flooding: Karatal, Karasu, Amangeldy, Karasu, and Koptogai. The village of Ekpetal is already fully submerged, posing significant challenges for the Wil district.

The regional authorities have urged residents of the affected areas to evacuate to safety, emphasizing that human life is of utmost importance. The region has been grappling with floods for several days now, with a state of emergency previously declared in three districts and the regional center of Aktobe.
