On April 9, 2024, AO "NK" KazAvtoZhol" shared information on flood situations on roads of national importance. As of 10:00, due to warming temperatures and rapid snowmelt, incidents with thawing waters overflowing through the roadway were recorded on eight sections spanning 3730 meters in four regions (Akmola, Atyrau, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan).
Traffic restrictions apply to 15 roads of national importance in six regions (Aktobe, Akmola, Atyrau, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan) covering 731 km. Currently, 475 pieces of equipment and 548 personnel are involved on national roads. On the previous day, April 8, 13 roads of international and national significance in six regions of Kazakhstan were closed over a distance of 673 km.
