In the Aktobe region, 80 people, including 53 children, were evacuated from the village of Mamyr by a helicopter from the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan. The evacuees were relocated to the Irgiz district and accommodated in one of the schools.
The evacuation was prompted by the rising water levels of the Torgai River in the Irgiz district, posing a threat of flooding to the village of Mamyr. Previously, 33 people, including 24 children, had been evacuated.
