Scammers continue to surprise with new deceitful schemes. Recently, fraudsters have been using the names of akims.
This time, scammers are contacting Kazakhstan citizens pretending to be the akim of the Almaty region, Marat Sultangaziev.
The press service of the Almaty region akimat emphasized on April 12, 2024, that they have already alerted law enforcement agencies.
It is worth noting that this is not the first warning from the akimats. Akim Darhan Satybaldy of the Turkestan region made an important statement on his Instagram page on April 11, 2024, addressing Kazakhstan citizens who allegedly receive messages from him. Additionally, on April 4, the akim of the Pavlodar region, Asain Baykhanov, shared a warning about scammers with his followers.
Furthermore, scammers have created fake accounts of Kazakhstan's Prime MinisterOlzhas Bekteyev and government members on Telegram and WhatsApp, initiating fraudulent distributions.
