On April 12, a seismic event shook Almaty, as reported by sources. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the seismic network of the National Center for Seismological Observations and Research recorded the earthquake at 13:13 local time. The epicenter was located 273 km southeast of Almaty, in China - classified as an aftershock.
The intensity of the tremor, measured on the MSK-64 scale, reached 2 points in Almaty. This level of intensity was also reported in Almaty on April 10 by seismologists.
