Monitoring of Flood Situation in Astana Continues by Emergency Services Personnel

Employees of the capital's Emergency Situations Department are continuing to monitor the flood situation. According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, the deputy mayor of Astana, Yersin Kenzhebayev, the deputy chief of the capital's Emergency Situations Department, Dastan Aldabekov, along with employees of the Akmolinsk branch of the state enterprise "Kazvodkhoz," visited and inspected the protective dam of Astana from flooding by the floodwaters of the Esil River.

"At the moment, the structure is operating normally, and the situation is being closely monitored," the message says.

Earlier, President Tokayev instructed to develop an effective mechanism for compensating the damage to those affected by the floods. He then emphasized the need to prevent price increases in the affected regions.

The Ministry of Industry and Construction has been tasked with forming an operational group to coordinate all on-site work for the restoration of housing, social infrastructure, and communal facilities.
