The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan has commented on an incident that took place on April 17, 2024, at a school in the capital city, where an eighth-grade student jumped out of a window.
Marat Kozhaev, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, confirmed the incident, stating that it was registered in the unified register of pre-trial investigations. He mentioned that investigations are ongoing to determine the causes of the incident, and conclusions will be drawn upon completion.
It was reported that a student from the eighth grade of Lyceum School No. 72 jumped out of a fourth-floor window. The child was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a concussion, chest and abdominal injuries, fractures of the right forearm, and right shin.
