The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported active ongoing anti-flood operations in the West Kazakhstan region. The authorities have covered more than 1000 yards in 23 dacha communities, evacuating several families and animals.
Additionally, rescuers have filled over 2000 bags with inert material. Capital rescuers are also continuing their rescue and evacuation efforts in the flooded areas of the North Kazakhstan region.
As of April 19, civil defense services have rescued and evacuated 118,116 individuals, including 44,241 children. 113,852 livestock have been moved to safety, with 19,656 people returning home.
