Over 21,000 Kazakhstanis have returned to their homes in the central and northern regions of the country as the flood situation stabilizes. Additionally, part of the resources and personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are also returning to their permanent bases.
However, due to forecasts of rising water levels in the rivers Zhayyq and Esil from the Russian Federation, special attention is being paid to the West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions.
Psychologists from the Center for Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to provide round-the-clock emergency psychological and informational support to residents of flood-prone regions. The hotline has received 2036 calls.
In total, 31,942 personnel and 4593 units of equipment, including 797 water pumping vehicles, 325 boats, and 14 aircraft, are involved in emergency and rescue operations.
