Today, on April 22, 2024, AO "NK "KazAvtoZhol" reported on flood situations on highways of republican significance in Kazakhstan. Due to warming weather and rapid snowmelt, incidents with meltwater overflowing onto the road were recorded on five sections totaling 4400 meters in three regions. Restrictions are in place on 10 highways in five regions, covering a distance of 552 km. The national company mentioned that 315 pieces of equipment and 336 personnel are involved in road works. Previously, it was reported that repair and restoration works are ongoing on the 872nd kilometer of the A-16 Zhizakgan-Petropavlovsk highway of republican significance.
