The Ministry of Agriculture has prepared a draft resolution by the government on the Approval of the National Project for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex "Strong Agro-Industrial Complex" for 2024-2028.
The implementation of measures outlined in the National Project "Strong Agro-Industrial Complex" for 2024-2028 aims to achieve significant goals such as doubling the gross agricultural output by 2028, updating agricultural machinery annually, doubling labor productivity, increasing the export of agricultural products, boosting investments in agriculture, and raising the share of processed agricultural products to 70%.
The project aims to drive rapid diversification of crop areas, promote the adoption of advanced agricultural technologies, provide quality seeds, enhance fertilizer application, modernize agricultural machinery, and implement water-saving technologies.
Financial support will include initiatives like preferential lending for agricultural activities, forward purchase of agricultural products, and leasing agricultural machinery at favorable rates.
Priority investment projects will focus on increasing poultry meat production, milk production, vegetable cultivation in greenhouses, developing infrastructure for storage, irrigation projects, enhancing fish production, and building agricultural processing facilities.
The project also intends to increase funding for the industry, inspired by successful models like the North Kazakhstan region and the Agrarian Credit Corporation, with the goal of raising subsidies and attracting non-budget funds over the next five years.
Developers have also introduced an Action Plan for the implementation of the national project, which is currently open for public discussion on the "Open Regulatory Legal Acts" portal until May 10, 2024.
