The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that despite the ongoing work to pump out water in Kul'sary around the clock, more than 300 private residential houses remain flooded.
On May 1st, it was reported that over 216,000 cubic meters of water have been pumped out and diverted from the flooded areas in Kul'sary using mobile pumping stations and motor pumps.
Since the flooding in the settlement, the rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan have diverted over 3 million cubic meters of water from 2564 houses.
On May 1, 2024, during a briefing at the Crisis Management Center, the press secretary of the akim of the Atyrau region, Ruslan Zhumagaziev, shared the measures being taken by the akimat to restore the city, which has been the most affected by the floods.
