A patient with a myocardial infarction was on board an aircraft that, while making a hard landing on water, overturned in the Kostanay region.
According to "Nasha Gazeta" on May 4, citing the press service of the regional healthcare department, a request for the transportation of a 1964-born patient was received in the morning of May 3 via the medical aviation's email.
The team, consisting of two pilots, a doctor, and a paramedic, was supposed to transport the patient to the regional hospital.
Due to a preliminary cause, the medical aviation aircraft overturned during takeoff due to gusty winds. The patient, without injuries and in stable condition, was taken to the Arkalyk Regional Hospital, where treatment continues. Members of the medical aviation team did not sustain injuries but are under the observation of hospital medical staff, as stated in the message.
In the regional healthcare department, it was added that a contract for the purchase of aviation services through medical aviation was concluded with TOO "AK Navigator."
According to the Ministry of Transport, on May 3 at 16:10, the aircraft lost altitude after takeoff and slid into the water. On board the aircraft were two crew members and three service passengers. They were hospitalized at the city hospital in Arkalyk. It was also noted that a commission has been established to investigate the aviation incident.
Additionally, footage of the aircraft's hard landing of the An-2 plane has been published on Kaznet. The video shows the aircraft sharply descending into the water and overturning.
