Restrictions on Traffic Implemented on Four Highways in Kazakhstan

In the wake of severe weather conditions, traffic restrictions have been imposed on four highways of national importance in three regions of Kazakhstan.

In the Karaganda region, one highway spanning 118 km is affected due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Ulytau region. The restriction applies to all types of vehicles on the "Kyzylorda – Pavlodar" route from the Ulytau region border to the village of Topar.

Similarly, in the Kostanay region, a highway of 83 km is impacted by adverse weather in the Ulytau region. The restriction encompasses all types of vehicles on the "Zhezkazgan – Petropavlovsk" route from the Ulytau region border to the city of Arkalyk.

In the Ulytau region, two highways totaling 543 km are affected by intermittent rain at below-zero temperatures and icy conditions. The restrictions apply to all types of vehicles on the following routes: "Zhezkazgan – Petropavlovsk" from the village of Zhezdy to the Kostanay region border, and "Kyzylorda – Pavlodar" from the city of Zhezkazgan to the Karaganda region border.

Overall, the restrictions cover 744 km, which is approximately 2.98% of the entire national highway network. Currently, 265 pieces of equipment and 285 personnel are involved in addressing the situation on highways of national importance.
